Kilmacud Crokes opened their 2009 Dublin Senior Hurling Championship campaign with an emphatic 3-19 to 1-7 over the Dublin North West regional team at Parnell Park on Saturday 29th August 2009.
The GAA National Coaching and Games Development Committee will pilot a new Hurling Wall competition called "Balla Ball" at this year's Meteor Kilmacud Crokes All-Ireland Hurling Sevens taking place on Saturday 5th of September 2009 in Glenalbyn, Stillorgan.
The first week back after the August break yielded mixed dividends.

Legendary Kilkenny hurler of the 1930s, former Chairman of Crokes Hurling Club and current honorary Vice President of Kilmacud Crokes is 100 years old - having reached the major milestone on 31 July.
