Please see below the invitation to Bank of Ireland’s National Enterprise Week flagship event Ready Steady Grow happening on the 17th of May in Leopardstown.  So what’s happening on the day?

Kingsley Aikins will be our MC for the morning and will be doing a great talk on the importance of networking. Kingsley is the former president and CEO of The Ireland Funds & Networking Guru.  He has a unique speaking style and delivery which he puts across with passion and humour. His stock of anecdotes and stories based on is global experiences keeps audiences entertained and informed and leaves them with a series of practical and uplifting messages.

We will have a guest panel who will give 5 of the businesses attending the event a chance to pitch their business to a panel of experts, these experts include:

Samantha Kelly aka The Tweeting Goddess

Twitter whirlwind and Founder of the Social Media Summit & Women’s Inspire Network. Samantha is a leading social media strategist, public speaker and trainer. Samantha owns and operates Tweeting Goddess which plans and delivers effective social media strategies to businesses and entrepreneurs, harnessing the power of social media and online community. She is also passionate about teaching businesses how to leverage social media effectively and add real value to their business. Samantha is the founder of social media summit Ireland, which was first hosted in Dublin in 2016 and is returning again in 2017.

Alec Drew the straight talker. Alec is the President of the Professional Speaking Association Ireland and has 30 years of experience running a successful communications company. He has been a member of Ireland’s premier networking organisation, Dublin Chamber of Commerce for 25 years and uses that experience to help drive new business by Networking in a methodical and results driven way. Alec’s focus is to help business professionals to “Communicate with Confidence” and “Network to GetWork”. He does this through 1-1 coaching and group workshops

Rob Kearney – Leinster Rugby Player Rob Kearney will be on our guest panel and will have a chat about performance and training – he will also be on hand to meet and great with attendees of the event.

The prize for the best pitch will include an article on the winning business on thinkbusiness.ie, a free course for their staff with the bank of Ireland Learning zone team, social media promotion through our social media channels and their branding on the screens in our digital branches in Montrose / Trinity & Grand Canal Square

So if your attending don’t forget to bring your business cards and leave them with the event team at the front door, the 5 businesses will be selected randomly by Kingsley on the morning so get yourself pitch ready! Each business will be given 2.5mins to get their message across.

In addition to this, we will have 5 zones set up – wellbeing / sales & marketing / finance & networking and will have experts from each field “showing their business”.  We have Enterprise Ireland and the Small Firms Association at our networking zone.
