Coiste Gala Dinner Saturday January 28th Talbot Hotel Stillorgan

The Talbot Hotel Stillorgan hosted what was the inaugral Coiste Dinner Dance last Saturday night. The Coiste group represents boys playing both Football and Hurling from nursery up to U12.

Over 230 mentors and parents turned up on the night which kicked off with us been entertained by the Halleluiah Gospel Choir who sang the guests into the magnificent banqueting hall. 

An excellent four course dinner was served as we anxiously anticipate the arrival of the special guests and we were not left disappointed. Gary Cooke and John Colleary from Irish Pictorial Weekly and Apres Match entertained the guests with some excellent comedy sketches which kept the audience well entertained up the raffle

With the help of a few of our Kilmacud Crokes refs, tickets for the raffle sold out in anticipation of winning the top prize of €2,000 worth of wood flooring supplied by Brooks and Dave Byrne from the 2008 age group was not disappointed as he walked away with the top prize. Many thanks to Brooks and the other raffle prize contributors for their generosity.

The Hee Bee Gee Bees came on stage just after 10:30pm to a packed dance floor and kept us dancing with their classic blend of 70's and 80's music, followed by the DJ which saw the night close to what was a fantastic night. 

Special thanks to the MC of the night, our own Colman Byrne from the 2005 group who kept the night on track.

No doubt we will be all be back next year !
