Faces behind the Purple & Gold book - Special message from the author Paul Collins

Body

The Faces behind the Purple & Gold book has been a massive success with revenue in excess of €12,000 and counting. The very last books are available in the Club Shop and John O'Reilly Butchers on Deerpark Road.

Now that the large production costs are covered, over €3,000 will be split 50/50 and donated between Laura Lynn Childrens Hospice and Pieta House. The donations will be made to the respective charities in January.

The very last books are available in the Club Shop and John O'Reilly Butchers on Deerpark Road.

They will not be available ever again after Christmas.

A massive thanks in particular to Sean Allen, John O’Reilly, Jean Carr and all in the club shop and Mick Kinsella along with his team who have helped greatly with book sales.

The book has been a huge undertaking and had to be completed while working a full time job and playing both hurling and football every evening. Thanks also to all those who helped in whatever way they could with the project and those who helped finance the book early on via the Cairde leis na Crócaigh initiative.

In anticipation for Christmas, the Club Shop is open:
Saturday 17th 10am until 2pm
Tuesday 20th 7.30pm until 9.30pm

The club shop will then reopen on January 14th.
