We have formed a Cycling Club attached to Kilmacud Crokes and club affiliation fees are being paid by the Kilmacud Crokes Glenalbyn Sports Club.Purpose is Leisure Cycling and events similar to M2M, Paddy’s Day cycle etc. along with promoting general fitness and well-being within the club.
Membership of Cycling Ireland provides some level of insurance cover. You would still need to rely upon your own health insurance for accidents but it at least provides 3rd party cover. All Cycling Ireland members have personal accident and public liability insurance by virtue of their membership of Cycling Ireland. This insurance will cover you when you are out training or taking part in approved Cycling Ireland events.

  2. Logon at top RH corner
  3. Register a “New Member”
  4. Club Affiliation is “Kilmacud Crokes Wheelers” and registration fees are just €40 p.a to include insurance cover.

We would encourage all participants register with “Kilmacud Crokes Wheelers” through Cycling Ireland as it is a certain level of protection and also establishes a leisure cycling club which we would hope will continue for many years. If you are injured or cause damage to a 3rd party (whether they are a Cycling Ireland member or not) whilst out training or at an approved Cycling Ireland event, you will need to fill out an accident and incident report form. Once this is filled in, send it back to the Cycling Ireland office where it will be logged, and then sent on to the insurers. The insurers will then get in touch with you directly about your claim.

M2M Static Cycle Fundraising in Stillorgan Shopping Center

Preparations continue for the 80 cyclists signed up for the BCI/Kilmacud Crokes Nissan M2M challange  2018 - May 30th to June 4th. Lots of training being put in. This weekend we started our round of static cycle fund-raisers in local shopping centers.  Some photo's of the crew in Stillorgan.

M2M 2018  - Gearing up For The Challange

On Thursday Jan 25th the cyclists who who have signed up for M2M 2018 came together for a meeting to cover all the planning and training aspects for taking on this challange. Aidan Ryan from UCD Bike shop gave a great presentation giving the group lots of great information and tips.
