KC AFL4 v St Finians Newcastle

KILMACUD CROKES AFL4 side took on ST FINIANS Newcastle's first team, also in AFL4,  in the Junior A football championship replay in Glenalbyn on Sunday August 21st.
The controversial drawn game took place before the break on July 5th: http://kilmacudcrokes.com/club/junior-championship-photographs  Evergreen Senan Finucane taking charge. Having been nine points up at one stage, three power points against the wind after half time stretched the lead.  However, the West Dublin team scored a hard fought, well worked goal and the next three points to make a contest of it.  Brian Hanamy stood tall at full forward and used great service to turn and score two second half points to keep St. Finians at bay and saw Crokes  with a five point advantage.  It was true Junior Championship fare, with no quarter given by either side.

St. Finians travelled with good support for their Intermediate team, but on a fine morning, the home crowd just shaded the vocal exchanges, with our Senior Team notable in their support of great clubmen on John Shovlin's newly promoted side.
