2008 Adult5 League Final .... now re-fixed for UCD on Sun 15th!!

Having been postponed in mid December, the rescheduled 2008 AFL5 League Final has today been fixed for Sunday (15 February) at 11am in UCD (Roebuck Pitch - entrance off Fosters Ave).

This final AFL5 match of the 2008 calendar year pits our lads against the current Junior County Champions, St. Pat's of Donabate who are currently sitting top of AFL5, one point ahead of Crokes (click here to see Table).

In their previous encounter in the Championship Semi-Final, St. Pat's won out by 5 points on a sunny evening in Donnycarney. So the lads go into Sunday's match knowing that they are facing a team in form and who on their day are better than anyone in this division. But the Crokes lads have been working away diligently, when they should have been enjoying their "off season" and two months after their season should have ended, they now face their toughest test.

2008 was an exceptionally positive year for this group of players.  Now they, and their young manager Marcus Ó' Buachalla, would be delighted to see supporters out in force to support them in their quest to bring a Junior-1 League title back to Stillorgan for the first time since 1981. Go néirí leo
