Semi Final

Naomh Barrog A 8-13 Kilmacud Crokes 3-1

The sun came out, the chill in the air was gone so we knew we had a feast of football ahead.
The Kilmacud U14 B Team put in great performances on their Feile Day. The Team were in the Div 4 Competition having been moved up from Division 5.
Our 1st game was against St Marks A. This was a very tight and even affair. Unfortunately we hit the post in the the last seconds and we're denied a win. St Marks won by 1pt.

A quick turnaround saw us face Erins Isle A next. This was a smashing game and Crokes went after the win. With only a minute to go Crokes were 3pts ahead. But a fast break by Isles saw them level the game at the final Whistle. A Draw.

Our next game was a must win game for Crokes against tough opposition Ballyboden B. A sterling performance held Boden close against a strong wind at half time. However Crokes drove at Boden in the 2nd half and we powered to a 15pt win.

This was enough to secure our place in the Semi Finals against Naomh Barrog A. After a quick lunch to refuel we travelled in convoy to Sean Moore Pk in Ringsend to face a very strong Barrog A Team. Unfortunately we lost our Goalie and reserve goalie early to injuries which did not help our cause. Barrog were too strong on the day and went on to a good win. We wish them best of luck in the Final.

All the Managers, Mentors and Parents of the U14B Team are very proud of all the players for the way they played and behaved today. They put in a great shift against A Teams and Teams that are in a League ahead of them.
