July Fixtures Update from CCC & Reminder of Procedures

25th June 2009

Adjustments have been made to day /dates of fixtures due to be played during week June 29th to July 5th inclusive. This is to enable all Dublin fans to support the Dublin Hurlers in the Leinster Senior Hurling final on July 5th.

CCC has also listed alternative dates for the two rounds of fixtures scheduled for week July 6th to 12th in order that Dublin fans may support the Dublin Footballers IF they qualify for the Leinster Football Final. Definite dates and times of AFL and Minor games will be confirmed on Monday next.

Last Weeks revised fixtures: CCC wishes to remind clubs who postponed fixtures over the last week that all those postponed fixtures must be played by July 3rd. No exceptions allowed.  Games not played by that date will be either awarded to a Club or declared null and void depending on the circumstances.

Please note that CCC will not be intervening in situations where Clubs agreed to postpone a game but now cannot agree on a new date. Also note that it is not the responsibility of CCC to inform referees and the referees' co-coordinator of fixture changes agreed between Clubs. I have included my email of Monday June 15th for your information.

Results  I would appeal to all Clubs to ensure that all match results are returned to CCC on the day of the match. Results may be submitted through the Sportsmanager textmessage service, by phone to our answering machine at 8310066 or via email to ccc@dublingaa.ie

Regards

John McNicholas.

To All Clubs.

Over the past number of days CCC has received calls from clubs regarding the decision to re-arrange fixtures over the next two weeks. CCC recognizes that the decision, which was forced on us, has caused problems for a lot of players, mentors and teams especially as plans were already made for work, concerts, holidays etc.

It must be pointed out that our tight fixture schedule for the year does not allow CCC to postpone fixtures to the latter end of the season, however, for the fixtures affected by last week's decision CCC are prepared to allow Clubs to re-arrange fixtures by agreement provided that all fixtures are played not later than Friday July 3rd next.

Any fixtures not played by that date will be awarded / declared null and void according to the circumstances leading to the non-playing of the game.

In coming to agreement Clubs must be aware that re-arranged games cannot interfere with any other fixture (e.g. a football league fixture cannot cut across a hurling league fixture or vice versa).

Clubs must notify CCC of any agreement by email only not later than 24 hours before the original fixture date.

Clubs are responsible for notifying the appointed Referee and the Referee's co-ordinator (Frank Brady).

Where agreement cannot be reached to move a game the original fixture stands.

For future reference: Clubs / Individuals should note that Rules and Regulations allow CCC the right to make whatever amendments to the fixture calendar that it deems necessary provided that it gives at least five days notice (four days in the case of a replay or re-fixture) of a fixture.

Is Mise,

Seán MacNiocláis.
