A new series examining the history of the GAA got underway on Setanta Ireland on Sunday November 2nd, 2008. 
        
Part of What We Are is a four-part series which traces the story of one of the most unique sporting organisations in the world. The programmes are a timely study of the GAA’s origins, its growth and its future.

        
Episode Two in the series looks at the history of hurling – one of the world’s great indigenous games and features the work being done at underage hurling in Kilmacud Crokes.  It screens on Tuesday 11th November at 10pm and is well worth a look.

        
Made by Motive Television, the programme will be broadcast in Freeview and subtitles are available for the series.
