Crokes off to winning start at Cheltenham!

Body

It gives Kilmacud Crokes Hurling great pleasure to congratulate Peter Garvey on the magnificent success of Ebaziyan in the opening race of the Cheltenham Festival on Tuesday 13th March 2007

Peter and family are long time supporters of and players on Kilmacud Crokes hurling teams and we were delighted to see the Willie Mullins trained charge romp home under jockey David Condon at odds of 40/1.

Congratulations also to the Crean family on the fantastic run of Brave Inca in the Champion Hurdle, where the horse just failed to repeat last year’s marvelous win.  Like the Garvey’s, the Crean family have had a long association with hurling in the club.

Meet the victor and continue the celebrations at the Kilmacud Crokes Hurling Race Day on Tuesday 24th April next in Punchestown - the 'Irish Cheltenham'.

Now in its fourth year this has been an outstanding success. For a super day out in highly salubrious surroundings you won't do better. If you're in a position to influence your company's corporate spend please support.  At €1,750 for a table of ten or €175 per seat it’s the best package available. All proceeds to the Hurling Development Fund.  No doubt you've seen the fantastic progress on the Hurling Arena in Glenalbyn. Spots or donations also welcome.
