Hurling/Camogie

(and Gaelic Football/Ladies Football)

The Coaching and Games Development Committee are organising a combined Gaelic Football/Ladies Football & Hurling/Camogie Foundation Level Coaching Course.

The course is designed for Parents/Helpers/Teachers or New Coaches who wish to get involved in the Club and in Coaching.

Foundation Level is geared for coaching children from 5 – 12 yrs.

The course is also open to boys & girls who are over 16 yrs. of age. Preference will be given to those who have taken the course for employment on Club Easter & Summer GAA Camps & Summer Multi-Sport Camps and the Schools Coaching Programme.

Course content: Role of the Coach, Teaching a Skill, Developing Skills, Planning & Organising a session, Org. Hints, Warm ups, Fun Games, Conditioned Games, Go Games………..

Each course is a 6-8 hr course held over 3 nights.

SESSION 1: Combined Theory

–Football & Hurling Thursday 11th October 2007. Glenalbyn Club House 7.30pm – 9.30pm, Function Room

SESSION 2 & 3 Practical-

Gaelic Football / Ladies Football. Tuesday 16th & Tuesday 23rd October. St.Laurences BNS Hall 7.30pm -9.30pm

SESSION 2 & 3 Practical–

Hurling / Camogie. Thursday 18th & Thursday 25th October. St.Laurences BNS Hall 7.30pm -9.30pm
