Good win for Senior B Hurlers v Mearnogs in Championship

11 point margin on wet and windy evening in Silverpark

Crokes needed a victory to keep their championship aspirations alive. However Naomh Mearnog were first out of the blocks, while giving Crokes little space to hurl. The hosts persevered and were two clear at the short whistle; 0-07 to 0-05.

After the break, aided somewhat by a strong wind, Crokes began to pull away; nerves well settled by an excellent goal, which was the culmination of some great team play.

The hosts won out in the end by 11 points, Naomh Mearnog only registering 4 overs after the break.
