Kilmacud Crokes honour Management trio for their great contribution to Dublin Hurling

The great and the good of Dublin Hurling were very much in evidence in Glenalbyn House, Stillorgan  on Thursday 6 November, when Kilmacud Crokes paid tribute to clubmen Richie Stakelum and Chris Thompson, together with Anthony Daly, for their enormous contribution to Dublin Hurling over the last six years.

Anthony Daly also launched his autobiography, "Dalo" on the night, signing copies for the very large number of fans, players, mentors and other GAA dignatories who turned up despite the inclement weather.

Indeed, Kilmacs Bar was packed to the rafters to hear Richie Stakelum launch "Dalo", recounting many anecdotes about their time in charge of the Dublin Senior Hurling team. Dalo himself enthralled the attendance as he recollected some of the lighter moments of his tenure.

Hurling Section Chairman Peter Walsh, highlighting the increasing popularity of hurling in the County, attributed this directly to the successes of Dublin under the stewardship of the evening's guests of honour.
