Statistical analysis features of the Performa Sports iPad application to be used at One Direct Kilmacud Crokes All Ireland Hurling 7's for the first time.

The senior hurlers of Kilmacud Crokes have already been using the Performa Sports iPad app for live-game analysis, video analysis and extending coaching contact time and performance communication with players through the integrated Performa Cloud analytics platform.

According to Senior Team Manager, Ollie Baker “it’s the new way forward in sports analysis, not only do we get instant analysis on the sideline to help inform game calls, it also helps us to prioritise training and to effectively visualise performance using the iPad in a way that the young hurlers and athletes of today are familiar with and better understand”.

Team Selector and Analyst Kieran Dowling goes on to explain that “players like to see their own performances and what they need to work on to improve. With Performa Sports it’s very efficient and very easy for the players to access their performance video and stats though the web”.

To add an extra dimension to this year’s One Direct Kilmacud Crokes All Ireland Hurling 7's tournament, both Performa Sports and the Crokes have teamed up to video and live-game analyse the senior semi-finals and final, sharing key game stats and video highlights through social media, to engage with the tournament’s national and international GAA following.

Marketing Director at Performa Sports, Joe Turley said that “we have followed the Kilmacud 7's as fans through the years and we are delighted to be actively involved with the tournament using our real-time analysis technology to analyse one of the fastest team sports in the world. As this is a first for the longest established club hurling tournament in Ireland makes it extra special.”

Each of the winning teams at this year’s tournament will receive a 12-month Performa Sports performance analysis iPad app license to help aid their ongoing performance improvement and player development strategies.
