U16s v St Brigid's, 10 May 2006

Body

A fabulous win by the Crokes U16 hurlers at Glenalbyn on Wednesday evening, 10 May, against their fiercest rivals St. Brigid's. In what was the match of the season so far, Crokes were very much up for this game from the word go and led at half-time by 7 points to 3.

The second half was real Championship stuff, when Crokes played their best hurling. Barry Mulligan was sound in goal and Arthur Lyons is coming back to form with a very good display at full back. Brian Hanamy, Eoin Culligan and Mark Coughlan were outstanding at half back and midfield while up front James Sullivan, Chris Cunningham, Barry O Leidhin and the outstanding Kevin O'Loughlan - who finished with a tally of 0-11 (9 frees) - were fantastic.

Substitutes Eddie O'Byrne and Naomhan O'Riordan played their part as well.
