2018 Club Membership Renewal

Membership Renewal 2018.

As we start a busy year, we wish to advise our members that the membership renewal window for next year is now open.  Members are encouraged to pay their membership online via Myclubfinances. This can be accessed from the club web site home page at www.kilmacudcrokes.com.  All membership renewals are required to be paid by the 28th of February 2018.

The cost of running our club is very significant and many of our members invest huge amounts of time and effort to fundraise throughout the year in order to keep the show on the road. Our costs arise from the fact that we have a huge number of registered players (over 2,500) with a consequent demand for facilities and resources to facilitate the training of players and the playing of games as well as a very significant premises and infrastructure to service and maintain together with significant capital debt of over €400,000 arising from historical investment.

The Executive has decided that membership income should be more closely targeted to match the true cost of operation of our club with a consequent reduction in the burden of incidental fundraising across the club.

After a review of the membership fee structure by the club Executive an increase in the membership subscription rates has been applied across the membership categories. The top category of GAA and gym membership (Family including three children) will rise to €8.65 per week from the current €7.30 per week. The category of Family including tennis and gym membership will rise to €12.50 per week from the current €10.96 per week.

While being conscious that nobody likes to see membership fees increase, we believe the product and value which members get for their subscriptions is excellent value and the fees, even with these increases, compare favourably or are still below the cost of membership of comparable clubs or participation in other sporting or alternative activities available to members in the area.

The Club has in recent years put in place a budgetary structure whereby the Executive of the club, which comprises all units of the club including Football, Hurling, Camogie, Ladies Football, Coiste and KGSC, allocates membership income based on the needs of the sections and the club itself. The additional income will now become part of that process.

Any queries related to membership can be addressed to the club registrar at registration@kilmacudcrokes.com  The registrar will, as always, be happy to engage in total confidence with any member who may have a difficulty at any time in paying their membership.

Looking forward to another exciting and action packed year during 2018 in Kilmacud Crokes.
