Monday, 27 June 2022: Players from 32 counties and 4 codes are gearing up to bring their passion to the pitch this year, as the All-Ireland 7s Series is officially launched, with Beacon Hospital announced as the title sponsor.

A milestone sponsorship, it is the first time all 4 codes of hurling, football, camogie and ladies football will be supported by one title sponsor, Beacon Hospital.

Providing world-class acute patient care, Beacon Hospital is committed to enhancing the health and wellbeing of communities across Ireland. Its state-of-the-art facilities include a Sports Lab, Physiotherapists, Sports Physiologists and Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine specialists.

Given the Series has been postponed for two years as a result of the pandemic, there is great anticipation and excitement for its return this summer, with the series launched in the hallowed grounds of Croke Park today.

Earlier this year, Beacon Hospital also became the main Club sponsor of the largest GAA club in Ireland, Kilmacud Crokes, who have hosted the event for over 50 years.

The annual fixture takes place on the eve of the All-Ireland Finals. Games are played across a number of pitches in the local area with the cumulation of the final, which is played on the home pitch of Kilmacud Crokes, Pairc de Burca.

Michael Cullen Chief Executive of Beacon Hospital said:

“The Beacon Hospital All-Ireland 7s Series is a testament to the community spirit and camaraderie that GAA brings players from all codes across the country. With our partner Kilmacud Crokes, we intend to bring our combined passion for physical health, teamwork and the wellbeing of hearts and minds of local teams to life, and we are delighted to support all four codes as they return for the Series after two years.

“Since we embarked on the sponsorship with Kilmacud Crokes, we have met so many players, backroom teams and supporters, who are incredibly passionate about their sport. We are very much looking forward to meeting more through this Series and share our expertise and knowledge in health and wellbeing”, he added.

Kevin Foley Club Chairman of Kilmacud Crokes said:

“The Beacon Hospital All Ireland 7s Series will attract visitors from around the country and abroad to great days in the Hurling, Football, Ladies Football and Camogie calendars. This coming together across all four Gaelic codes is a tremendous innovation and is a significant statement in support of equality of participation between men and women in sport".
