Kilmacud Crokes is saddened to hear of the passing of Connie Mac Gabhann.  Connie and her husband Gearoid are long standing members of Kilmacud Crokes. Their children, Gearoid, Grainne, Brona, Lorcain are all club players.  Connie was a key member of the original ladies committee who was instrumental in supporting the Football and Hurling sevens which have been running for over 4 decades in the club. She was a great club woman and a gracious lady. In recognition for her support in this area, Connie was awarded Laoch na Seachtanna by the hurling section a few years back.  Connie will be sadly missed by all who knew her over the years in the club. The club extends its sympathies to Gearoid and to all the Mac Gabhann family at this sad time. May she rest in peace. Tá tú inár gcuid smaointe agus paidreacha. The death has occurred of Connie Mac Gabhann (née Lynch) of Kilmacud, Dublin and Killinkere and Virginia, Co. Cavan, on July 6th 2021, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her sisters Celine and Terry and brothers Miceál, Malachy, Niall and Justin Lynch. Beloved wife of Gearóid and mother of Gráinne, Gearóid, Lorcán and Bróna. Sadly missed by her brothers PD and Talbot, son-in-law Michael and Niall, daughters-in-law Maria and Jacqueline, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Also mourned by her many nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the church of St Laurence O’Toole, Kilmacud at 11am on Thursday, July 8th 2021. Burial afterwards in Shanganagh Cemetery.
