The Kilmacud Crokes GAA community is saddened to hear of the passing of Des McCormack - one of the great club men of our time. A parent, champsionship winning team mentor (junior football), past club sponsor (Whirlpool) and past club treasurer. An all round absolute gentleman and so much more. You can still see the Whirlpool jerseys about the club today. Our club owes Des alot. Our collective condolences go to all of Des's extended family. Funeral details below :
McCormack, Des (Kilmacud, Castleknock & Drimnagh), peacefully surrounded by his family at Bons Secours Hospital, Glasnevin. He will be sadly missed by Felicia, Patrick, John, Desmond & Ciaran, his brother Brian (Toronto) and nephew Shane, his daughters-in-law Margaret, Karen, Elaine and Joanne and his beloved grandchildren Eoin, Jane, Roisin, Kian, Niall, Kate, Laura & Christopher, extended family and wide circle of friends.
Proud Captain of Luttrellstown Castle Golf Club 2022, Des will be sorely missed by all the members.

Des will be reposing in Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Blackrock on Tuesday, 24th May 2022, from 6.15 pm to 8.15pm. His Funeral mass will be held at 10.00am in The Church of St. Laurence O’Toole, Kilmacud on Wednesday, 25th May 2022. Des will be laid to rest in Kilternan Cemetery Park.
