Hurling Feile Weekend April 13th/14th

Body

Friday 12th marks the Easter Holidays for most underage players in Kilmacud Crokes – why not start it by going to support one of our U14 Hurling teams in the Feile na nGael Tournament in one of the following venues from 10.15 am on Saturday 13th  :

SILVERPARK:      Our U14A’s will host Group B of Division 1 which also includes Faughs, Ballyboden and Thomas Davis. Mentored by Diarmuid Walsh, Ronan McClean and Club stalwart Collie Maher, this team has excelled from an early age and won Dublin County U12 Division 1 in 2017 and U13 Division 1 in 2018.

These lads are great value for money are well worth the admission price (especially given that it’s free!).

BALLYBODEN(CHERRYFIELD PITCH):        The U14B’s group in Division 4  is hosted by local rivals Ballyboden St.Enda’s and also includes Naomh Oliver Plunketts and Clann na Gael.

Mentored by James O’Donnell, Mattie Twomey, Ken Hall and Nick Scallan, this is a very promising team and is a match for most other “A” teams in Dublin.

CUALA (THOMASTOWN PITCH):               The U14C’s will play in Division 6 in a group with Cuala, St.Sylvesters, Skerries Harps, Faughs and hosts Cuala.

At the start of the year, it didn’t look as if there would be a U14C team but this group is nothing if not resilient and have attracted some U14 footballers out of “retirement” to help their cause. Mentored by Diarmuid Coogan, Ray Gleeson and Sinéad Cooney, these players enjoy their hurling and will give as good as they get!

If the A & D teams finish 1st or 2nd in their group, they will play a semi final at 4.00pm on Saturday while the C team are in a “winner takes all group” and their final group match will also be at 4.00pm. If any of our teams qualify for a final, it’ll be played on Sunday 14th April in Parnell Park at 12 Noon (DIVISION 1), Blakestown Road Stadium at 11am (DIVISION 4) or Tallaght Stadium at 11.30am (DIVISION 6).

Each team will be supplemented by 3 underage players and the U14 Team Management would like to acknowledge the work of U13 Mentors Dominc O’Keefe and Rory Flannery and U12 Mentors Ros Criostoir & Conor McGorrian as well as Hurling Development Officer Niall Corcoran.”
