KCWheelers Supporting Men's Health Month with a Charity Fundraising Cycle

Body

On the 12th / 13th of November KC Wheelers are organising a charity cycle to raise awarness for Prostate cancer. In June they did the massive M2M event for Breast cancer so now it's the turn of the boys.

Prostate cancer has effected a lot of our members over the years but lately seems to be occurring a bit more. Probably because lads are a bit more willing to talk about it now. A simple, painless blood test is all that needs to be done. So we're encouraging ALL you lads out there over 45 to "get yourselves tested" !!

KC Wheelers are well aware that the senior hurlers are out that day for their first match in the Leinster campaign so 3 different distances are being offered over the weekend 100km,70km, and 50km. The longer 100km cycle will take place on the Saturday. All groups will  meet in the club at 8 15am and departing at 8 30 sharp. Competent leaders will take each group out and arrange coffee stops etc along the way.

A bucket collection will be taken up on the morning but if anyone prefers they can revolut Donie Dowling 087 2525246 with a donation. All funds collected will go to Prostate Cancer Research.

Even if you don't want to cycle, why not walk/cycle up to the club over the weekend and see everyone off !! You can drop something in the bucket or if you can't make it just Revolut Donie.
