Kilmacud Crokes GAA Club Special General Meeting- Deferred

Body

Dear Member,

A Special General Meeting of the Club had been called for this Thursday evening the 14th April. That meeting was to be convened to consider a motion dealing with proposals to develop the facilities available to the Club and related funding implications. A central and immediate element of the Club's Development proposals was a proposition that the Club would enter into an arrangement relating to the all-weather facility located in St. Benildus College grounds.  That arrangement was to have been a transaction between our Club and the current operator of the facility who was also the developer of the facility.

We have received notification from the current operator of the Benildus all-weather pitch facility that they do not now intend to proceed with the envisaged transaction with Kilmacud Crokes GAA Club because they are in a receipt of an alternative commercial proposal for the facility from Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.

The Executive Committee of Kilmacud Crokes GAA Club has determined that in these circumstances it is appropriate to defer the development plan meeting scheduled for Thursday 14th April until such time as we are in a position to engage with the membership with comprehensive development plan proposals taking account of and dealing with the final impact of the Benildus situation.

For your information the Executive Committee is currently seeking to engage with Dunlaoghaire Rathdown County Council in order to establish the full facts of the situation which has arisen in relation to the all-weather facility in Benildus.
