Kilmacud Crokes ICE Bucket Challenge in Support of Laura Lynn

Body

As members will likely know, we have a strong focus in Kilmacud Crokes on developing the club as a GAA Healthy Club. Under this banner, the club took part in the Dermot Earley Youth Leadership Initiative  (DEYLI). The  Dermot  Earley Youth  Leadership  Initiative  (DEYLI)  is  brought to  life through a  partnership  between GAA,  Foróige,  and  NUI  Galway.  The  programme  empowers  young  people  to  enhance  their  leadership  capabilities  to  better  enable  them  to  reach  their full  potential  and  have  a  positive  impact  on  the  world  around  them. We were delighted to have 4 facilitators and  26 participants on our first DEYLI course. Unfortunately, this course went online with everything else because of the pandemic,  but thanks to the enthusiasm and energy of all, it was a great success.

To complete the programme, at the end of the course, each group had to take on a project. In that context, one of the groups were interested in developing the area of diversity and inclusion in the club and how the club could reach out more and support the community.  This group have decided to take on a charity fund-raiser challenging our members to complete an Ice Buck Challenge and donate funds online for one of our Club Signature Charities Laura Lynn.  You can read more about the challenge and donate at https://www.idonate.ie/kilmacudice

You can send any photo’s / videos of your challenge to Info@kilmacudcrokes.com and we will post a selection of  them on our club web and social media channels

Thank you in advance for your support and please share this message with others
