Trick or treat as Junior Camogie Girls dress up to celebrate Halloween .....

As darkness fell on the club strangely dressed creatures rolled into the Club and up the stairs to the function room.

Zombies, cheerleaders, wizards, oversized babies, Super Girl, A Banana (indeed) and other fantastic costumes ascended the stairs to be greeted by a groaning life sized Skeleton. Skipping through the door the girls poured onto the dancefloor covered in dry ice. Over 100 girls screamed and showed their moves in a wonderfully decorated room.

Word clearly had spread beyond the usual channels as we even had a visitor from far far away… Darth Vader herself complete with a glowing red lightsaber.  

This was the first Girl’s Halloween Disco for the U9/ U10 and U11s  Camogie Girls and their friends. There were even some boys that braved the event, cleverly disguised in their costumes of course ! 

Many thanks to all who helped with all the planning for the event that was the brainchild of Rita Ní Chonail and supported by the Junior Camogie Committee and the hard working mentors.

In true Crokes fashion there was plenty of help on the night from some of the older girls and thanks to the parents who also stayed on for the tidy up which was done quickly thanks to the big numbers.

The decorations are in storage and it looks like being an annual event so get ready for next year. Happy Halloween all…..
