AFL3 Side Win Promotion

Body
Congrats to our AFL3 side who secured promotion and bounced back to Senior Football, after just one year in AFL3. In the playoff final played on Sunday morning in Whitehall, Crokes dug deep to secure a 9 points to 7 win. Whitehall played with the wind in the first half and led two points to nil after 10 minutes. But Crokes solid defence kept them at bay for the next 15 minutes and our midfield got a grip to secure plenty of possession in the first Half. Conor Noone got the first point following a fine run by the hard working Dillon Mulligan and Conor Burns nailed two massive points from play to keep Kilmacud within striking distance at half time, Whitehall leading 5 points to 3. Whitehall added two points early in the second half but Kilmacud dominated the rest of the game. David higgins, intrroduced as Sub, nailed two monster frees, Kevin O Cearbhaill added a fine point from play and then fed Conor Noone who put the sides level with 10 to go. O Carroll nailed another from play with 5 minutes to go, and Joe 'Cluxton' Mooney finished off the game with a monster 45. The team are delighted to move back up to Senior football, with a fine mix of youth and experience.
