Kilmacud Crokes win FBD Football 7s

Congratulations to Kilmacud Crokes who won the FBD All-Ireland football 7s title for the fifth time and the first win since 1997 at Glenalbyn. They played against Truagh Gaels from Monaghan in the final.

Three goals in the first half gave Crokes a 3-3 to 0-5 advantage at half time. The goals came from team captain Pat Burke, Alan Egan and Paul Mannion but three points from Daniel McKenna kept Truagh Gaels in the game.

Crokes showed good composure to retain possession in the second half and were able to see the game out quite comfortably, although Truagh battled hard.
