CONGRATS TO DUBLIN U21 CHAMPIONS!

Dublin footballers won their second All-Ireland U21 in three years when they overcame a resolute Roscommon team by seven points at Tullamore on Sunday last.  It was only in the final quarter that the winners pulled away. Dublinmanager Jim Gavin moved quickly after half-time to bravely empty his bench, and his timely interventions, Dublin's superior subs and their midfield dominance ultimately swung the game as they came from two points down to score an unanswered 1-6 in the final quarter.

Kilmacud had two players on the panel Alan Carr and Paul Mannion (pictured) and it was Paul who put the icing on the cake with Dublin's second goal in the last minute.  It appears Paul was extremely popular with supporters and players alike as his goal ensured that a lot of punters won on a handicap bet:-)
