CROKES MARCH ONWARDS WITH SUPERB LEINSTER WIN

Congratulations to Paddy Carr, his management team and all the players on a fantastic win today in O'Moore Park, Portlaoise.  A 4th Leinster crown was claimed on a scoreline of 0-15 to 1-7 against a formidable Rhode team.  The Crokes got off to a slow start but took control of the game for the last 40 minutes, coming from a deficit of 1-5 to 0-4 after 17 minutes to win convincingly.  Still, it took 2 exceptional 2nd half saves from Mr. Reliable, David Nestor, in the Kilmacud goals to stave off the ever-present Rhode threat.  The 2nd was from a Niall McNamee penalty as the game neared the final whistle.   The consensus amongst supporters later was that David must have drawn inspiration from his new 8 week old nephew, Rory Kenny, dressed in Crokes colours (see photos below ... how cute, just like David)!!

It's now on to the All Irl semi-final against 2009 beaten finalists, Crossmaglen - what a game that promises to be (Sat. 26th Feb - details here asap).  Meanwhile, we will all savour this victory and enjoy the buildup over the next few weeks.  Well done lads and keep up the good work!
