FAMILIES AT THE HEART OF CLUB LIFE

FAMILIES AT THE HEART OF CLUB LIFEThe GAA is widely regarded as the world's leading community-based sporting organisation.  At its heart is the club and within that ... the family.  Tomorrow's AIB Leinster Club Final in Portlaoise will provide further evidence of this with several bands of brothers on show for both Rhode and Kilmacud.  The Crokes feel they have one additional trump card in the form of "Vital Victuals" from the Mammies as featured on this site recently - click here.  This together with the raw passion of the supporters makes for a potent mix that will hopefully see us over the line after an epic battle.

One of the younger sets of brothers involved is the O'Carrolls, Ross and Rory (pictured on All Irl Pres Night last Jan with proud father Liam).   The fact that their Dad works as a manager for the competition's sponsor, AIB, adds to the interest all round in that particular household!  The two lads come to the game from somewhat different situations as they explain in today's Irish Independent.  No doubt they will have a big say before the day is out in deciding the 2011 outcome.  Read their story by clicking on the photo below.  Also, checkout their unique family insight in the special pre-match video accompanying that story (clip on rt hand side).

Best of luck to all the brothers and their families on this special occasion for them all!
