HOW ARE OUR ADULT TEAMS DOING?

check out here for a short review on how all our adult teams have been doing so far in the league this year. You will find a snapshot of each team's position in the league along with a brief note for each. See below compiled by Jim Fitzgerald.

AFL 1

With two games remaining the Senior team are bottom of Division 1.  However, the return of the Dublin contingent after the All-Ireland final should help them in their final crunch games against Na Fianna and Lucan Sarsfields.  Winning these will hopefully put them in a playoff against either Lucan or Trinity Gaels.

AFL 3

In an annually tough division, the AFL3 team were pushing for promotion until a couple of rounds ago, but a single point loss to Ballyboden looked like it had put paid to those hopes.  However, a 15 point win in their final game against Lucan, combined with losses for both Clontarf and St. Sylvester’s, saw them dramatically capture the final promotion playoff spot on points difference.  In the playoff semi-finals, they will face Ballyboden, with Clan Na Gael Fontenoy and Whitehall Colmcilles featuring on the opposite side.

AFL 4

With 2 games remaining, the AFL 4 team require one more win to ensure a place in the playoffs.  After a difficult start to the season against an impressive Na Fianna side, Crokes have managed to string together some fine results, most recently against Crumlin.  The remaining games will see them face Garristown and fellow playoff contenders St. Brigids.

AFL 7

The AFL7 team are still challenging for promotion.  In a league with only two promotion spots available, Crokes are lying in 3rd position 3 points behind Bank of Ireland.  With games against table toppers Naomh Fionbarra and possibly and all or nothing tie with St. Vincents, promotion is still in their hands.

AFL 8

A tough year for the AFL 8 team sees them lie in 11th position with 2 games remaining.  It is unlikely they will be dragged into the relegation battle, with a draw enough to completely ensure safety.

AFL 11S

With Ballyboden Wanderers having an impressive showing, the AFL 11 side finished in the upper end of the division again.  Looking forward to next year they will be hoping for a strong push for promotion.
