Latest on 2008 Fixture programme from CCC

In view of Dublin's elimination from the All Ireland Championships CCC has revised the adult and minor fixture plan for the months of September, October and November. With the co-operation of all clubs (and the weather!) CCC hopes to have all fixtures completed not later than the end of November however it reserves the right to make fixtures in December as necessary up to and including December 14th.

The priority of the committee is firstly to complete all championships on time and then all leagues with cups the 3rd priority.

Clubs should note that requests for postponements of league fixtures will not be entertained except where clubs make alternative arrangements for games to be played within 7 days of the original fixture. Requests for championship postponements will not be entertained in any circumstances except in the case of a death of a person directly connected with the team / club officer.

In order to complete competitions on schedule CCC will be playing football fixtures on hurling weekends where the football fixture does not interfere with any hurling game.

Under 21 Championships:  Entries for the 2008 Under 21 Hurling and Football Championships are now being accepted.

Return of Trophies: Please take note of the following regulation which was adopted by Co. Committee last February:

 "All trophies must be returned to CCC prior to August 31st of each year or earlier if required by CCC. Failure to comply shall entail a fine of EUR1000. Clubs are responsible for the safe upkeep of trophies in their custody and will be liable for any repairs or replacements"
