Week-2 Update
The Grand National has come and gone with the usual successes and disappointments to report; Synchronised is not a popular word in some quarters! It is very early days yet as there are 18 more events to go so hope springs eternal; it's not all about "winning" down PtW street you know!! Week-1 Report
What a weekend of sport we had on the first weekend of the "Play the Whistle" season. Some 303 of you golfing experts who picked ' Other ' got their reward with Bubba Watson and his unbelievable shot from the woods. It was good to see Pardraig Harrington coming back into form, pity he had a double bogey on the last, kept him out of the each way payout from Paddy Power.
The Heineken Cup saw 335 Leinster fans pleased with there Play the Whistle pick and keeps them in the running. For the Munster (59) and Toulouse (166) faithful it is more of 'thanks for the memories' as they both bowed
out to better opposition on the day.
The National Football League is turning out to be a cracker, with Kerry v
Mayo and Cork v Down semi-finals. Play the Whistle entrants have Kerry
(401), Cork (110), Other (46), Dublin was the other choice 185, so lets
hope the Championship gets better for the Dubs fans. Second half
performance against Cork showed a big improvement on previous weeks.
The Grand National is this weekend, the biggest jumps race of the year.
