SPECIAL TIMES FOR KILMACUD DUBS

What an amazing week lies ahead for our club and for our senior and minor Dubs footballers!  As usual, Kilmacud Crokes is centre-stage for thousands of GAA followers throughout Ireland and abroad because our 39th All Irl Sevens is happening on Sat next, 17th Sept.  The "Sevens" is the first thing many people think of when "Kilmacud Crokes" is mentioned.  On Sunday, one of the most memorable days in their lives beckons for several of our young footballers in Croke Park where they have the honour of representing Dublin in the All Ireland Finals!  Playing for your county is a great achievement for any player at any time.  When it’s on All Irl Final Day it really is a fantastic honour for the players, their families and for the whole club.  The O'Carroll family must be especially proud: brothers, Rory and Ross are both involved with the seniors while, only yesterday, younger brother Bill played for Dublin in the U21 hurling final!  Let’s salute each and every one of the Crokes lads and wish them, and The Dubs, all the best …. we are very proud of you all!

But for injury the Kilmacud representation would be even stronger as Mark Davoren, Darren Magee and of course Paul Griffin are on the injured list.  We appreciate that it has been particularly difficult for those lads, especially Paul who was destined to captain The Dubs before Lady Luck deserted him!
