U13A League Win

The U/13A footballers (2004s) wrapped up the  Division 1 football league on Saturday with a month and two games to spare.

Playing a strong and physical Lucan side away the boys perhaps rode their luck a little for the first time this season to come away with a hard earned 3-7 to 1-10 victory.

After playing a lovely high tempo and fluid kicking game all season the lads had to dig out this win . With time almost up Lucan lead by two points but a storming finish saw Crokes home.

It is a measure of their performances over the season that the league was won with  two games still to be played .

The teams only defeat this season was to Clontarf by 3 points in a high scoring shootout . Lessons were learnt that day and our defence has been very miserly since.

With our KC3 team also top of their league  hopefully the 2004's will have a double celebration come the end of the season.

Well done to all the boys who have played for the 13A's this season (29 to date) , to the mentor group and all the parents .
