The 2010 hurling season still rumbles on as the Under 21 B's beat Naomh Mearnog on Saturday afternoon in the Championship replay and qualify to play neighbours Naomh Olaf in the next round.  On a soft pitch in wet Portmarnock, Crokes had the upper hand in the first half of a very sporting game and led 2-5 to 1-4 at half time.  Playing with the slight hill in the second half, Crokes commanded play and despite conceeding two goals from frees, outscored their opposition to end up with a winning score of 4-11 to 3-6. Best for Crokes were captain Richie Tighe, two goal hero Cathal 'Horse' Thornton, midfield dynmos Dillon Mulligan & Oran Turley, plus Louis Whelan, Stephen Beale & Karl Russell in defence.  After the game, manager Bill O'Carroll expressed his delight and said that this victory showed that all the hard work at training was paying off.
