Body

The Kilmacud Crokes All Ireland Hurling Sevens will once again take place on Saturday 3rd September. In its 43rd year this event has firmly established itself as one of the premier national hurling competitions.

The event attracts clubs and their supporters from all over Ireland and from Britain. Last year over 50 clubs took part in three separate competitions – Senior, Junior and Under 13.  The event attracts widespread coverage on local and national media – with extensive national radio coverage on the day.

The All Ireland Hurling Sevens is also an important fundraising event for the Kilmacud Crokes GAA Club Hurling Section. With five adult hurling teams and over 20 under-age teams from Under 18 to Under 6, catering for over 1,000 players, these funds are vital to help us to provide support and facilities to enable every player to compete to the best of their ability and at the highest possible level.  This work continues to pay dividends – with players and teams that compete at the elite level across all age groups.

Key to the success of the fundraising efforts on the day is the All Ireland Hurling Sevens Programme. The programme, as well as providing a comprehensive guide to the event, is packed with articles, photographs and information from prominent GAA journalists and celebrities.
