Dublin Senior A College’s title for Coláiste Eoin

Colaiste Eoin won the Dublin Senior Colleges title at DCU in a thrilling encounter on Thursday 16 October 2008. Colaiste Eoin were playing with the breeze in the first half they were nine points ahead by half time; 1-09 to 1- 00.  This was mainly due to some incredible free taking by corner forward Sean McCraith. Young Donal Sutcliffe gave a great display at midfield in that half. 

 

The second half saw St Declans come back into the game, led by their inspirational captain Shane Bonfil, who notched 1-04 of his team’s total, but just couldn’t get his team over the line, due mainly to the tenacity and will to win of the Colaiste Eoin lads.

 

Sean Mc Craith had a splendid game and he was closely followed by Colm o Fearghail, Marc Ó Duibhir, Donal Sutliffe, Gearoid Mac Murraidh, Brian O Murchu, Sean De Poire and the hard working Ben O Logain, who never stopped running for the entire game. Overall this was a wonderful team performance and the best team won on the day.
