On the 16th December 2007 the Kilmacud Crokes Minor hurlers completed the championship and league double  when beating Crumlin, while at the same time nearest rivals St Brigids went down to Na Fianna.  For match report click HERE, (report week ending 16 December 2007).

This brings the Jim Rea Memorial Cup back to Glenalbyn and many congratulations to the players, families and management team of Richard Stakelum, Tom Rock, Billy Noctor and Mick Carolan as well as to the minor B management who also played a key role.

The trophy is named after Jim Rea, a former trustee of the club, and was presented to the Kilmacud Crokes club for the promotion of hurling by his widow in 1985.   The club decided the minor hurling league was a suitable competition to associate with the trophy and presented it to Dublin County Board.  As luck would have it Kilmacud Crokes were the first recipients.
