Crokes U11 Hurlers on Tour - Kilkenny 2015

Read David U11 Hurlers account of their day in Kilkenny

'On a wet and windy Sunday Morning in February the U11's Hurling team met in Crokes for  a challenge match in James Stephens, Kilkenny. We boarded the buses with our hurls and helmets with a few treats thrown in. We played a few games on our devices and our manager told us to turn them off thirty minutes before we arrived in James Stephens. We played a couple of games and the crokes boys performed well and we were good at striking even though we played with a size four sliothar. The Kilkenny hurlers have a good strike of the sliothar and always give a good game. When we finished we went off to a hotel for an exquisite dinner. Then onto the main match of the day. For most of the game the dubs dominated until the last few minutes when we were all on our feet after the two Kilkenny Hurlers scored goals. Danny Sutcliffe had a good game, David Treacy and Eamon Dillon were good on the day too. After the match Brian Cody wasn't looking to happy. Thank you to all our managers for organising a good trip. Up the Crokes and the Dubs.....
