Successful trip for Dublin Under 14s - August 2005
On Saturday the 6th August '05, the Dublin Under 14 hurlers beat their Offaly counterparts with a scoreline of 6 - 11 to 1 - 4. The Dublin team was captained by Croke's Bill O'Carroll and included Croke's players Alan Carr, Jack Kelly, Eddie O'Byrne and Feile hero Naomhan Reardan.

Dublin, with Pat Halpin part of the management team, are preparing for the Tony Forristal tournament, held every year during the last weekend of August in Waterford. Last year the Dubs were beaten in the Division Two final by Carlow. This year, the Dubs hope to go that bit further and gain promotion to Division 1. They face Antrim, Laois and Carlow on the saturday, with the top place finisher facing the qualifier out of a group consisting of Kerry, Kildare, Offaly and Waterford 2, in the final on Sunday.

Dublin next face Laois in a challenge on Saturday the 13th Aug '05 down in Colt, outside Portlaois. The current 32 strong panel has to be cut back to 24 for the tournament, so the best of luck to the Crokes lads.
