FOUNDATION AWARD COACHING COURSE

The Kilmacud Crokes Coaching and Games Committee are organising a Foundation Award Coaching Course. The course is designed for Parents/ Helpers/Teachers or new Coaches who want to get involved in the Club and in Coaching. 

Coaches must have a Foundation Award Certificate if they wish to progress up the Coaching ladder.  Due to proposed changes in the upcoming Children’s Referendum, all coaches working with Children in Kilmacud Crokes must have completed a Foundation Award Coaching Course & Child Protection Course. 

Course content: Developing Physical Literacy Skills, Skill Development, Differences between coaching the Child / Youth / Adult, Coaching through Games.........

The course is a 6-8 hr course held over 3 nights. 

For Coaches that would like to obtain a certificate in both Hurling & Football, they must complete both nights of Session 2.  Coaches may only attend one of the nights in Session 1 & Session 3.

Please note that the course will be a mixture of theory & practical learning so please wear appropriate footwear i.e. – runners / trainers.
