Hard earned draw for Senior B's v St Kevins

Senior B Championship

It was a titanic struggle at Dolphin Park on Saturday evening 12th May 2012, in perfect hurling conditions. It would be fair to say we left this one behind us. Some great chances were created right throughout the match. Just after half-time a great run by Donal McGovern released to Barra Ó Laighin on the edge of the small square. Barra rifled in a great shot, only somehow the Kevin’s goalkeeper stopped it on the line with his body. He didn’t know a lot about it but that escape seemed to spur Kevin’s on, and the remainder of the half was exciting and close. Nevertheless we got a precious point at the end.

The next match against Raheny is crucial and one we have to win. The lads gave everything on Saturday and the performance was first class. Everyone contributed and we cannot ask for anything more. Aidan McCarthy,  Aodhan de Paor, Barra Ó Laighin, Barry Mulligan and Donal McGovern stood out in particular.
