Body

Highlight of the weekend was a heart stopping Junior B championship semi final in O’Toole Park on Sunday 1st October, that ended in a share of the spoils following a last minute equaliser from Ciaran McGrath, to leave the score Kilmacud Crokes 2-12, Scoil Ui Chonaill 2-12.  Full report on www.kilmacudcrokes.com/hurling.

On the same day the intermediates league game away to Raheny ended in a 2-13 to 3-7 victory with Eoin Murphy, Andrew Hopkins and Michael Dalton to the fore.  On the championship front the intermediate quarter final between Round Towers and Clanna Gael was won by the former who will be Crokes’ opponents in the forthcoming semi-final.

On Saturday underage action took centre stage.  Two under 10 teams took part in the Bray blitz winning all their games.  Their homebound colleagues were successful against Faughs and Thomas Davis.  The under 12’s were too good for Na Fianna at the same venue.  The Under 11’s went down in their games against St. Judes and Commercials, while the Under 9’s had a successful outing to Good Counsel.  The Under 8’s took part in blitzes at Erin’s Isle and St. Vincents.
