Nursery in Glenalbyn on Saturday 4 Oct at 11am

The Hurling Nursery returns to Glenalbyn on Saturday 4th October at 11am.

There will also be a meeting for new Nursery parents on Thursday 2 October  at 8:30pm in Room 5, Glenalbyn House (clubhouse), Stillorgan. All are most welcome!

Back to Oatlands on 27 September!

The pitches in Oatlands College are playable again. Therefore the nursery will be in Oatlands @ 11am on this Sat. Sept 27th.  We hope that the nursery will transfer to the main pitch in Glenalbyn  the following Saturday, Oct 4th and for the remainder of the outdoor season.  In the event that Glenalbyn is not playable, we will send out another e-mail.  Please check our hurling website  www.kilmacudcrokes.com/hurling for updates.  Hurling will move indoors on Sunday mornings when outdoor hurling is no longer possible.

Temporary home for Hurling Academy in UCD!!

The hurling nursery started back on a glorious sunny Saturday with a large turnout of existing and new hurlers. A total of 140 players arrived to UCD all weather for hurling with 50 newcomers. All newcomers will begin their training with Niall Corcoran in “the new group” for a few weeks and then the older new players will be transferred into their appropriate age group. Existing under 6’s (born 2002) and under 7’s (born 2001) will train under Mark Lohan and Ken Hall, respectively. The boys born in 2003 will continue as a separate group and become the “new” Under 6’s at the beginning of 2009.

Please continue to check the website (www.kilmacudcrokes.com/hurling) for notices regarding  training. We will advise on the venue for next Saturday as soon as the pitch availability is clarified. If the venue is Oatlands then the times will change to 11am for hurling but this will be confirmed during the week.

When outdoor hurling in Oatlands or Glenalbyn is no longer possible we will transfer indoors, mainly to the hall in Oatlands. At this stage the hurling nursery will change to Sunday mornings. We will provide further details shortly.

As mentioned on Saturday we would appeal to all parents of the new group to offer assistance in any way possible. No previous coaching experience is required and even periodic help is better than none at all. If you are willing to offer any assistance please contact any of the following:
