Beacon Hospital All-Ireland Hurling 7s

The 47th Beacon Hospital All-Ireland Hurling 7s takes place on Saturday 17th August.

Games start from 10am in Glenalbyn, Silverpark, UCD and St. Olafs.

There are 3 hurling competitions and an additional U12 hurling festival.

The All-Ireland Hurling 7s sponsored by Beacon Hospital will be a great family event, with free entry for all.

There will be face painters, balloon makers and a big Puc Fada competition (U8-U11) and a Wall Ball Competition (U10-U11) taking place in Glenalbyn, with some great prizes to be won.

You can also win a brand new Kilmacud Crokes Heritage jersey by tweeting a picture from the Hurling 7s, include #beaconhospital7s and tag @HurlingSevens or upload a picture from the Hurling 7s to your Instagram story, include #beaconhospital7s and tag @hurling7s.

Winner will be announced just before the Senior Cup Final on Saturday.

A raffle will be take place to win 2 tickets between Tipperary and Kilkenny in the All-Ireland Final.

A fine spring evening and Deerpark (Top Pitch) was the setting for a competitive game of Hurling between  KC U13 “As” and Cuala last Tuesday Evening.

Crokes took on a young and fit Setanta team in Silverpark on an afternoon so warm that the Croke’s water-bottles had to be refilled after the warm-up before the game!

A narrow defeat was the Crokes Junior 5 hurlers lot in an exciting championship clash against Faughs on Wednesday 11th April 2007 at Tymon North.  In hindsight the first twenty minutes proved very costly with the home team notching up 2-2 before Barry Gavigan brought Crokes back into the game in
