Hurling Nursery News

Body

There was a large turnout, of over 30 parents at the Hurling Nursery Meeting for “new players” on Thursday last (2 October 2008) in Glenalbyn, where Niall Corcoran and Donie Dowling spoke about the development of the nursery and the coaching plan for the new nursery group. Niall gave a great presentation on the FUNdamentals stage of the player pathway emphasising the best practice coaching methods and FUN aspect for the kids.

Donie Dowling spoke at length about his enjoyment of over 8 years of coaching in the nursery in the earlier days and provided great encouragement for the parents present about getting involved.

Finally, Tom Barry welcomed all present to the club and hoped that they would get many years of enjoyment with their kids in being involved with Crokes Hurling.

We had a great turnout again this Saturday with over 150 kids participating in the hurling nursery.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused but the Hurling Nursery time CHANGES to 10am this Saturday 11th October. This is because of the changes in slots given to all age groups for the winter facility.

As advised at the parents meeting, the Hurling Nursery will move indoors to Oatlands College on a Sunday morning when outdoor hurling is no longer possible. Details will be published on the website in due course
