Inters Make It Four From Four

Body

Crokes recorded another good win in the Intermediate Hurling Championship played at Glenalbyn on Sunday 5th September 2010 to make it four wins from four round robin games Playing against the breeze in the first half Crokes went into an early lead thanks to a goal from Daibhi De Paor. He also tagged on another 2 points and gave us an interval lead of 1-5 to 0-4.

Crokes continued to dominate but had stubborn resistance from Peregrines. Crokes finished much stronger and ran out easy winners in the end by 1-13 to 1-6. Damien Byrne at midfield gave a majestic performance throughout. His touch and deliveries into the forwards was just outstanding and he had a rock solid halfback behind him in Declan Browne, Brian Hanamy and Eoin De Paor. The fullback line was also very effective with late replacement Alan Carr having an outstanding game. He came in for Paul Collins who unfortunately pulled his hamstring in the warm up before the game and couldn’t start. Up front Daibhi DePaor (he just seems to get better and better all the time) finished with a tally of 1-6 (2f) had an outstanding game and not far behind him were Sean Murphy, Conor Sheehan and Eddie OByrne. This leaves us with one game left and topping the group
