Junior A's beat Crumlin

Body

The Junior A team played their third league match of the season on Thursday night in Silverpark. It was a lovely night for hurling and the pitch was in great shape. Crokes were slow to get moving but after a few wides from both sides Crokes scored fist with a fine point form Richie. We added to it with further points from Conor and Peter but Crumlin responded quickly. In the 15th minute MacDara was fouled while bearing down on goal and Richie buried the free to the back of the net to put us 6 points up. We pushed ahead and were 7 up after 25 minutes; but Crumlin struck for 2 goals before half time to leave the score Crokes 1-07, Crumlin 2-03 at half time.

Crokes pushed on in the second half with our backs outstanding, especially Barry Brennan who gave a masterclass on the night. Kevin scored a fine point after being introduced as a sub, which was added to by Kieran. With Killian dominant in the middle with Kevin we limited Crumlin to 3 points in the second half. We closed out the game with further points from Conor and MacDara.

The final score was Kilmacud Crokes 1-14 Crumlin 2-06
