Body

The Junior A team played Fingallians on Wednesday night, 15 August 2012, in the championship. The game was played in Bray in gale force winds and driving rain. Crokes were against the breeze in the first half and we were slow to settle. Fingallians were quickly into their stride with two points. Shane opened our account with a fine point but our visitors struck back with a goal and a couple of points to put it up to us. We pushed back and a great goal from Damien settled us and we quickly followed up with a point from Paddy. However, our guests kept coming at us for the rest of the first half and the half time score left us behind by 1-02 to 1-08.

With the breeze at our back we pushed on in the second half, but a goal from Fingallians knocked the wind out of our sails. Our backs were magnificent and worked hard; however it was hard work. We got back into it with a goal from Conor and a point from Richie, but Fingallians never stopped knocking over points. We fought to the end but fell short and exited the championship.

The final score was Kilmacud Crokes 2-04 Fingallians 2-14
